Typed letter signed, one page, 6 x 8 inch, personal stationery, (Vienna), 25.05.1924, to L. Arnold Weissberger - concerning the interest of his correspondent for psychoanalysis and a travel recommendation for Vienna, signed in dark ink "Freud", attractively mounted (removable) for display with the original stamped envelope (addressed to Cambridge, Mass., then forwarded to Long Island) and a photograph, shows Sigmund Freud seated on a chair (altogether 16,5 x 11,75 inch), with a vertical letter fold, an old tape mark to the upper edge, creasing, and scattered small tears to the edges - in fine to good condition. Mit freundlichen Wünschen - Ihr - Freud" Translated: "Dear Sir, The youth is always enthusiastic and easily projects its interest in a subject onto a person. I hope that your interest in psychoanalysis will continue, even if the person in whom you embody it is no longer present. If you come to Vienna once, do not pick the midsummer time, when we all leave the city. With friendly wishes - Yours - Freud"
