Typed letter signed, one page, 5,75 x 7,25 inch, `House of Commons` letterhead, 5.06.1968, reply letter to Miss Watson - concerning the `Monday Club`*, signed and inscribed in blue ink "kind regards - Margaret Thatcher", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Thatcher in a close-up portrait (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with a central horizontal letter fold - in nearly very fine condition. In parts: "... With regard to the Monday Club, it sometimes tends to be rather extreme in its reactions and I do not believe that extremists of any kind do the Party much good. You know I myself believe in taking a moderate line because I am sure this is best in the end for everyone. I think I would step a little warily if I were you..." * The Conservative Monday Club (usually known as the Monday Club) is a British political pressure group, aligned with the Conservative Party, though no longer endorsed by it. It also has links to the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) and Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) in Northern Ireland.
