Autograph note signed, one page, 7,25 x 9,5 inch, in French, to his lover Michelle Vian, written and signed in blue ink "J. P. Sartre", attractively mounted (removable) for display with a photograph, shows Jean-Paul Sartre in a close-up portrait (altogether 8,25 x 11,75 inch), with intersecting letter folds - in fine to very fine condition. Accompanied by the original transmittal envelope, simply addressed in Sartre`s hand "Michelle". Translated: "Here it is my love. Bon voyage to Carol I kiss you" Born in 1948, Carole was the daughter of Michelle and her husband Boris Vian - Sartre and Michelle Vian began their relationship in 1949, and would eventually destroy Vian`s marriage.
