Ngor, Haing S.
Signed borderless vintage glossy photograph, shows Haing S. Ngor in a film scene from `The Killing Fields` (1984), 10 x 8 inch, 19.03.1988, signed and inscribed in blue ink "To Tony. - With all my - very best wishes, love - and affection to you - love - Haing S. Ngor - 3.19.88.", in very fine condition. Trained as doctor, Haing S. Ngor fled Cambodia and was able to resume his practice in California. With no acting ayperience, he was cast in a major role in `The Killing Fields`, a depiction of life in Cambodia under the reign of the Khmer Rouge, becoming only the second non-professional actor (after Harold Russell) to win a Best supporting Actor Oscar for his performance. Ngor was killed in a street robbery in 1996.
