Autograph letter signed, one page - carte de visite, 3,5 x 2,25 inch, (Bagni di Montecatini, Italy), (1897 ?), in Italian, to Dr. Primo Crotti (professor of history and aesthetics at the Parma School of Music) - Verdi informs his correspondent, that the time has passed for him to take care of musical things in any aspect whatsoever, written and signed in dark ink "G. Verdi", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a portrait picture of Giuseppe Verdi (altogether 8,25 x 11,75 inch), with mounting remnants to the reverse, browning, foxing and two pinholes to the right third - in fine to good condition. In parts: "...E’ passato il tempo d’occuparmi di cose musicale..."
