Autograph letter signed, one page, 5,5 x 7 inch, Schönbrunn, 1865, in German, to an unidentified correspondent - concerning the nomination of Baron Zsenyei (originally Sennyey) as Tavernicus (treasurer) and a meeting with a count Larisch, written and signed in dark ink "Franz Joseph", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Franz Joseph I of Austria in a 3/4 length pose in uniform (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with two horizontal mailing folds and very mild signs of wear - in fine to very fine condition. Franz Joseph" Translated: "I ask you to order the oath of Baron Zsenyei, whose nomination as a `Tavernicus` I am signing today, for tomorrow at 1 o'clock in the city, and for this reason send me today for signature also the removal from office of Count Pálfy. Also I ask you to order Count Larisch tomorrow at 2:30 to me in the city. If Mensdorff wishes me to be present in the city today, I beg you to telegraph it to me and ask him about it. Otherwise I can not go in today. Franz Joseph"
