Autograph air combat report signed, one page (response on the reverse) - stamped `Eigentum des Reichsarchivs` (translated: `property of the reichsarchiv`), 5,75 x 8 inch, March 1918, in German, to "Führer des Ballonzuges" - Ernst Udet reports on a serious air combat of longer duration with his "Albatros" against a British "Sopwith", written and signed in pencil "Udet", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Ernst Udet as pilot (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with intersecting letter folds, browning scattered mild creases, tape remnants and puncher holes with tears to the left edge - in fine to good condition. "An den Führer des Ballonzuges Gegen 10.40 Uhr vorm. (heute) hatte ich (Albatros, gelb. Rumpf, gestreifte Schwanzflächen mit 2 Wimpeln) ernsten, langdauernden Luftkampf mit einem Soperith, der dann kurz hinter der engl. Linie niederging. Ich wäre Ihnen sehr verbunden, wenn Sie darüber gemachte Beobachtungen als Fernspruch an mich umgehend weitergeben würden. Besonders die Art und Weise des Absturzes beschreiben und wo vermutlicher Aufschlagort. Udet - Lt. u.
