Elizabeth II & Prince Philip
Signed vintage photograph, shows a beautiful family portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip - most probably taken at Balmoral (Scotland) on vacation (The Queen driving a four wheelcarriage, horses bridle being held by Prince Philip; Prince Charles standing alongside; Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward in the carriage. And the ubiquitous Corgi), 9 x 7 inch - affixed on slightly larger cardboard, mounted and framed under glass to an overall size of 15,75 x 14,75 inch, 1968, signed and dated to the lower photographer's mount by the Queen in black ink "Elizabeth R - 1968" & signed by Prince Philip in black ink "Philip", with scattered mild signs of wear - in fine to very fine condition. Provenance: Formerly the property of Mr. Peter Brough, a British entertainer who was responsible for organizing private functions for the Royal Family each Christmas at Windsor Castle in the 1950`s and 60`s. The item was acquired in 2012 directly from Mr. Brough`s daughter Sarah, who was kind enough to provide a copy of one of the many letters of thanks received by Mr. Brough that accompanied the various Royal tokens he received over the years. Intended only to demonstrate the validity of her claims and not as a piece of Royal ephemera in its own right, a copy of this example (from 1958) is attached to this item.
