Autograph letter signed, 2 1/2 pages - folded sheet (both sides), 4,5 x 7 inch, Giverny (France), 26.11.1889, in French (english translation: scan No. 4), to Desmond Fitzgerald - letter including a list of prices for his paintings on exhibit in a Paris gallery on Rue de Sevres, and promising to reserve the painting he likes, written and signed in in purple ink "Claude Monet", with intersecting mailing folds, a small tear (0,5 inch) to the upper edge of the vertical fold, and mild scattered bleed-through - in nearly very fine condition. Accompanied by the original envelope.
In parts (translated):
" ... I think that I could have given you more information about the paintings which have been on exposition in the gallery rue de Sevres and which I still have at my disposal. Therefore, I`m sending you the list with the catalogue numbers and the prices ... As for number 45, which ... I quoted at 5000 francs ... I shall let you have it for 4000 francs since you like it ... I shall not let it go until after having received a reply from you."
