Original handdrawn sketch signed, 4 x 6,75 inch, 20.11.1920*, Chaplin`s sketch comprises a fantastic self caricature in his recogniz `Little Tramp` costume - with bowler hat and moustache, drawn and signed with an inscription in dark ink "To Richard B. Gelbert - From Charlie Chaplin - Nov. 20th 1920" - adding an arrow beside the sketch and amusingly identifying it "me", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Charlie Chaplin in a beautiful portrait as Tramp (altogether 11,75 x 8,25 inch), with mild signs of wear along the edges - in fine to very fine condition. * The present signature was obtained shortly after Chaplin finished filming `The Kid`, regarded by many his most perfect and most personal film. Just one week prior to this signing (November 13th), Chaplin was divorced from his first wife, Mildred Harris.
