Autograph letter signed, two pages (both sides), 8,75 x 11,25 inch, `Svenska Akademien` letterhead, in Swedish, confidential letter to Gustaf Emil Zilliacus (1878-1961, Finnish-Swedish poet, writer, literary scholar, Karlfeldt asks Zilliacus about his opinion about a Greek poem of Kostis Palamas*, which could be nominated by the Nobel Price Committee - the NPC admire Zilliacus` skills, are confident that his unprejudiced avaluation will result in an expert evaluation and as they make the decision in the middle of November, they hope for his answer in time, written and signed in black ink "E. A. Karlfeldt", with intersecting letter folds and a very small tear to an edge - in fine to very fine condition. * Kostis Palamas was a Greek poet who wrote the words to the Olympic Hymn - Romain Rolland considered him the greatest poet of Europe and he was twice nominated for the Nobel Prize for Literature but never received it.
