Preprinted text with autograph notes (13 lines) signed, one page (both sides), 5,75 x 9 inch, 9./11.09.1911, in German, preprinted text concerning the biography of Bertha von Suttner and the rights to a photograph for reproduction in Spermann's golden book of world literature - von Suttner supplements the biography and states that at the moment there is no newer photograph at hand, written and signed in dark ink "B. S.", attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows Bertha von Suttner in a half length portrait (altogether 16,5 x 11,75 inch), with a central horizontal letter fold and very mild creasins - in fine to very fine condition. "V [insertion character] `Briefe an einen Todten`, `Memoiren`. Sie wurde 1905 mit dem Nobel-Friedenspreis gekrönt und ist Vicepresidentin des Internationalen Bureaus von Bern. B. v. S. lebt jetzt als Vorsitzende der von ihr gegründeten Oesterr. Friedensgesellschaft in Wien / 9/9 11. - Bin auf Reisen und habe keine neuere Photographie zur Hand. Könnte eine solche erst in 8-10 Tagen schicken. Wenn dies genügt, so bitte um Karte nach Wien, Zedlitzgasse 7. Wenn zu spät - dann wollen Sie dasselbe Cliche benützen. - Hochachtungsvoll - B. S." Translated: "V [insertion character] `Letters to a dead man`, `Memoirs`. She was crowned with the Nobel Peace Prize in 1905 and is Vice President of the International Bureau of Bern. B. v. S. now lives in Vienna as the chair of the Austr.[ian] Peace Society she founded / 9/9 11. - I'm traveling and have no recent photography on hand. Could only send one in 8-10 days.
