Coade of Bryanston), written and signed in blue ink "Montgomery of Alamein", with two horizontal letter folds and very mild foxing - in fine to very fine condition. Accompanied by a signature of Louis Mountbatten, 1st Earl of Burma (1900-1979). In parts: "Thank you so very much for your letter and for the book about Coade - `The Burning Bow`. It was most kind of you. I have been to most of the Public Schools of England, but never to Bryanston and I am glad to have now learned something about it. But for Simon even that would not have been learned! ..."
